Featured Destination: Antarctica
|
Antarctica is the world's southernmost continent, underlying the South Pole and is a continent of contradictions: volcanoes erupting from a frozen landscape; miles of snow and ice, yet hardly any snow falls each year; an arid land surrounded by three oceans. A cruise to Antarctica -- the "White Continent" -- is a thrilling and unique experience! You will see penguin rookeries as well as have the opportunity to whale- and bird-watch. Guides will take you to areas that will delight naturalists! Experience the thrill of crossing the Antarctic Circle and sailing through the Drake Passage! The towering cliffs at Paradise Harbor will leave you awe-struck! When you visit Antarctica, you will see glorious views, unlike anywhere else on earth! Cruises to Antarctica are usually a minimum of 9 or 10 nights. They are offered between December and March during their Summer Season. Since they typically set sail from Argentina, South America, international travel is required. more
